Elite heats are at 8:00 am only on race days. The registration and fees are separate for this category. The results and ranking for Elite are separate from Open. The Elite racers (if numbers are high enough) are eligible to win prize money, ranking and prizes.
Open heats are from 8:30 am until the last heat of the day. The registration and fees for Open are listed online by specific dates. The results and rankings are separate for Open.
Once you race you can't switch your results from Open to Elite or Elite to Open they are completely separate.
